"“Prize for the enterprise with the greatest market diversity – Potosi”;awarded to Voix Libres for its work promoting Andean crops (quinoa, amaranto) and Bolivian handicrafts.

Voix Libres met the challenge of creating "associations of producers and enterprises among Bolivia’s poorest people" (in mines, on refuse tips, in prisons and in the street).

It also offers "employment which significantly reduces poverty and re-invests its profits in construction projects: boarding and day schools, training centres."

"Few, if any, of the 3’000 organizations that we have examined over the past years act with such courage and coherence in the face of profound human suffering as Voix Libres."

"Through a wide variety of enterprises, beneficiaries can acquire competencies and generate income which will enable them to rediscover their dignity."

"Voix Libres is a remarkable example of an engagement in favour of those who suffer most."

Miriam Schöning,

Recognition of "the enormous efforts undertaken by Voix Libres during so many years among the most vulnerable sectors of society. This engagement has saved many lives, not only through the provision of essential materials, but in particular through the creation of employment for the poorest of our citizens.[…] Voix Libres is an organization which pursues its activities transparently, developing its projects in a noble spirit of cooperation and respect."

Dr. Julio Ortiz Linares

National Police, Bolivia

Voix Libres collaborates with the National Police in an effort to protect women and children from domestic violence... "Marianne Sébastien has worked ceaselessly to promote equality between men and women and to restore a sense of self-esteem to maltreated women."
