The exponential growth of results in Bolivia is only possible thanks to a network of solidarity in Europe. Indeed, 25’000 people are aware of or involved in Voix Libres’ activities, via the ‘antenna’ groups which are managed efficiently by about one hundred collaborators. These professional volunteers are the spokespeople of the Bolivians and their engagement contributes to a real south-north solidarity, with both partners working on an equal footing.

All our antenna groups undertake many tasks :

• Creating awareness : 4 Voix Libres newspapers per year sent to the network of our friends in Europe
• Training in North-South issues, in schools : through twinning, in companies : citizenship of companies
• Communication : articles in the press, public conferences, congresses, etc and ongoing communication with the Bolivian co-ordinators.
• Films : collection of films on Voix Libres’ projects, thanks to Dominique Fresne, who is at present preparing a film called ‘Founded on the strength of dreams’.  This film shows the progress of destitute people from refuse tips and mines to micro-credits and the creation of enterprises.
• Sports and cultural events
• Decentralized cooperation : about fifteen Mayor’s Offices actively support our projects.
• Friendship : permanent presence of European volunteers in Bolivia, sharing the same living conditions as the beneficiaries, in shanty towns or mountain villages (4500 meters)

We also benefit from a wide range of activities which our friends offer us free or heavily discounted.  If we were to calculate the value of all these services, we would reach the amount of our actual budget.
